The Ask

Our mission was to create a unique and memorable space at the center of the trade show floor at IHG’s mainstream brands conference. IHG sought a branded space that would foster meaningful connections among attendees. We aimed to surprise and delight visitors with a fresh approach they hadn’t seen before, while providing ample opportunities for networking and building relationships.

The Solution

Drawing inspiration from popular emerging “mixed-use developments,” WITS presented a holistic concept aimed at transforming the tradeshow into an interactive, community-oriented space that mirrored the dynamic environments people love to explore in their daily lives. 

Central to this concept was “Community Connections,” a welcoming green space designed to foster networking and collaboration — key reasons attendees come to the conference. Positioned at the heart of the trade show floor, this area featured:

  • Comfortable lounge furniture: A relaxing space for attendees to take a break, hold conversations, and connect with peers.
  • Sharable branded photo opportunities: Interactive photo activations for attendees to capture and share their experiences on social media, amplifying the event’s reach and boosting brand visibility.
  • Dedicated meeting area: An open and inviting space for attendees to engage with each other and IHG team members, promoting organic interactions and strengthening the sense of community.

The result was a highly interactive, engaging trade show floor that encouraged connections and created a memorable experience for attendees.
